Matthew Wosk is a founder, partner, and Chief Executive Officer of PROFICIO CAPITAL PARTNERS. Matthew holds a Masters in Business Administration from Harvard Business School, and an undergraduate degree in Business from the University of Western Ontario. Matthew spent 15 years on Wall Street working for both Goldman Sachs and Credit Suisse. At Credit Suisse, he rose through the ranks to quickly become a Managing Director in the equity division. Most recently, Matthew was responsible for managing Credit Suisse’s entire institutional equity team in Boston. Matthew has experience in a diverse range of equity products from single stock equities, ETFs, indexes, derivatives, prime brokerage, trading, and capital market activities. In addition, Matthew worked closely with the Credit Suisse Private Bank and received five intra-divisional awards during his tenure. Matthew has worked with a variety of clients including hedge funds, insurance companies, pension funds, endowments, mutual funds, and other institutional money managers. His clients typically managed assets ranging from $1billion on the low end, to well over $2 trillion. Matthew currently serves on the Board of Advisors for The New England Center for Children – a school for autism (NECC). In addition, Matthew currently serves as the Co-Chair of the Financial Advisory Committee for Combined Jewish Philanthropies (CJP) in Boston.
Bob Haber is a founder, partner, and Chief Investment Officer of PROFICIO CAPITAL PARTNERS. Bob was most recently the CEO and CFO of Haber Trilix Advisors. Previously, he was the Chief Investment Officer for Fidelity Investments Canada (12 year tenure) and Head of Equities for Pyramis Global Advisors, the institutional arm of Fidelity Investments. Bob was also portfolio manager of both the Fidelity Canadian Disciplined Equity Fund and the Fidelity Canadian Balanced Fund since their inception in 1998, until March 2009. These funds each earned a prestigious Lipper Fund Award as the top-performing fund of the decade in each of their respective Lipper categories. Before joining Fidelity, Bob was a management consultant at McKinsey, and a chemical and engineering analyst for Exxon Corporation. Bob holds a Masters in Business Administration from Harvard Business School, a Bachelor’s and Master’s of Science in Chemical Engineering from Tufts University, and is a CFA Charterholder. Bob is currently an owner of the NBA Boston Celtics and member of its Board of Directors.
Justin Sussman is a partner and Chief Operating Officer of PROFICIO CAPITAL PARTNERS. Justin spent 12 years on Wall Street, working for both Goldman Sachs and Credit Suisse. At Credit Suisse, he was a Director in their Equities Division based in Boston. Most recently, Justin was responsible for Senior Global Institutional Equities coverage of the largest Mutual Funds, Pension Funds, and Hedge funds throughout the Boston and Toronto markets. Justin has extensive knowledge of a variety and diverse range of equity products, including, single stocks, ETFs, indexes, derivatives, prime brokerage, and capital market activities. Before Credit Suisse, Justin worked in New York at Goldman Sachs in their specialist trading division, where he sat on the New York Stock Exchange in various trading roles. Justin holds a BSBA in Business Management from Bucknell University where he was an All-American and Academic All-American on their Nationally-ranked Men’s Lacrosse team. He is also a member of the Bucknell Athletics Hall of Fame.
Lauren Maughan is the Chief Administration Officer / Head of Investor Relations of PROFICIO CAPITAL PARTNERS. Lauren has extensive experience in both client-focused sales management and internally-focused business development. Most recently, Lauren was a Director in Global Corporate Development at Willis Towers Watson, where she worked with the firm’s Operating Committee to shape the combined business portfolio and with senior executives to generate strategy and guide implementation across all divisions and geographies. Lauren previously spent more than eight years on Wall Street, working for Lehman Brothers and Credit Suisse in various sales, client strategy, and senior management advisory roles across Fixed Income and Equities. She holds a Bachelors of Business Administration in Finance and Bachelors of Accountancy from Villanova University.
Sheldon Hanau has joined the Proficio team in the role of Chief Strategy Officer. Most recently, Sheldon was Managing Director at Wellington Management and the Director of Industry Research for the Americas. In this role, Sheldon oversaw an investment group comprising fundamentally focused global industry analysts that conducted in-depth research to provide investment recommendations for portfolio managers and analysts across the firm, in addition to managing global and sector research portfolios. Sheldon was a member of Wellington’s Private Equity Oversight Committee, Equity Review Group II, Trading Policy Review Group, Fund Approval and Closure Committee, Diversity Committee and responsible for attracting and developing the firm’s talent. Prior to assuming this position in 2014, Sheldon was an investment director in Equity Product Management, working closely with investors to help ensure the integrity and risk controls of the investment approach.
Before joining Wellington in 2013, Sheldon spent 20 years at Credit Suisse with his last position as Head of Distribution and Sales for US Equity Research.
Sheldon earned his MBA from Harvard Business School (1992) and his BA in chemistry from Yeshiva University (1987). He serves as a member of the Board of Trustees for Gann Academy.
Andy Wester is the senior investment analyst of PROFICIO CAPITAL PARTNERS. Andy holds a Bachelor’s of Business Administration degree from the Isenberg School of Management at the University of Massachusetts – Amherst with a concentration in Accounting. Andy spent two years interning and later working full-time for State Street Bank in their Global Services division with several of State Street’s institutional mutual fund clients. Andy is currently a CFA charterholder.
Gregory Burke is a research analyst of PROFICIO CAPITAL PARTNERS. Greg holds a Bachelors of Business Administration from Northeastern University, with a concentration in Finance and Economics. While at Northeastern University, Greg completed three six month internships at Wellington Management Company, two of which were spent working with Wellington’s fixed income trading team in Boston and in London U.K. Greg successfully passed his CFA Level I in June of 2018, and is currently a CFA level II Candidate.
David Goodman is the CPA of PROFICIO CAPITAL PARTNERS. David performs all finance, accounting, & tax functions for the company. He acts as Controller and manages all functions including accounting systems and account structures. David also handles all facets of payroll. David holds an MSA in Accounting from Bentley College and graduated Magna Cum Laude, Philosophy and Political Science from Boston University. Prior to Proficio, David has held several senior financial positions with Olde Northeast Ltd, 7-Eleven, Christy’s Market, and KPMG.
Michelle Silk Aronson
Michelle Silk Aronson is the Office Manager of PROFICIO CAPITAL PARTNERS. Michelle manages all general office duties including account payable/receivable, sourcing , negotiating and purchasing office equipment and supplies. Michelle spent 15 years in the advertising and marketing business on both the client and agency sides. She worked with large companies including Arnold Brand Promotions and Reebok International. Additionally she spent several years as a Business Operations Manager in a smaller owner/operator wholesale produce business. Michelle received her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Miami in Coral Gables, FL.
Peter Kronberg is Chief Compliance Officer and General Counsel of PROFICIO CAPITAL PARTNERS. Prior to joining Proficio, he served as Chief Compliance Officer and General Counsel for Haber Trilix Advisors and Ten Asset Management. He has headed teams providing investment company services to mutual and index funds and their investment advisors at Citi, Bysis and Investors Bank & Trust. Mr. Kronberg has broad experience providing legal counsel and compliance services with law firms and to start-ups, hedge funds, public and mid-sized companies. He lectures on Business Law at Tufts University. He has practiced law in Massachusetts since 1988 after graduating from Boston University School of Law.
Proficio Capital Partners (“Proficio”) and Karen Halliday (“Karen”) have joined forces to expand relationships with insurance brokers and familiarize them with the strategy and performance of Proficio’s insurance dedicated fund (“IDF”). By sharing their market and investment insights with brokers and their clients, but not soliciting clients directly, Karen and Proficio aim to support insurance brokers’ private placement marketing efforts.
Karen Halliday is a registered representative with The Leaders Group and will share in a portion of Proficio’s sub-advisory fees; there will be no incremental cost to brokers or their clients.
Karen is a graduate of Queen’s University in Canada, most recently spent 7 years at Golub Capital holding the position of Managing Director, Head of Tax Efficient Strategies, and currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors for SALI Fund Services.
