Justin Sussman
Partner & Chief Operating Officer (COO)
Justin is a Partner, Portfolio Manager, and Chief Operating Officer of Proficio Capital Partners. Justin is responsible for the daily trading and risk operations of the firm and ensuring efficient and seamless transactions between Proficio counterparties, both on the investor side and with our relations on Wall Street. Justin runs Proficio’s execution desk and serves as main point of contact for all trading and operations counterparty activity. In addition, Justin is a Portfolio Manager and serves on the firm’s investment committee where he splits his time on both public and private investment solutions.
History
Prior to joining Proficio in 2015, Justin was a Director in the Equities Division at Credit Suisse where he was responsible for Senior Global Institutional Equities coverage of the largest Mutual funds, Pension Funds, and Hedge Funds throughout the Boston and Toronto markets.
Before Credit Suisse, Justin worked in NY at Goldman Sachs in their specialist trading division, where he sat on the New York Stock Exchange in various trading roles.
Education
Justin holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Management from Bucknell University, where he was an All-American and Academic All-American player on their Nationally-ranked Men’s Lacrosse Team. He also is a member of Bucknell’s Athletic Hall of Fame.
Outside the Office
Justin resides in Wellesley, Massachusetts with his wife and three sons. After University, Justin was twice selected in the Major League Lacrosse draft and played in the MLL for 3 years for teams based around the east coast. He is an avid golfer and paddle tennis player and also volunteers part time on the Wellesley High School Men’s lacrosse team. Justin grew up in Baltimore, MD and still is a huge Baltimore Ravens fan.
