Katie Herr, CPA
Controller
Katie is the Controller of Proficio Capital Partners. In her role, Katie is responsible for all aspects of accounting, tax compliance, and reporting for Proficio’s private funds and separately managed accounts. She also assists in the management of the finance and accounting operations of the firm and supports legal and regulatory compliance.
History
Katie has 15 years of experience within the Asset & Wealth Management industry. Prior to joining Proficio, Katie was a Director in Trust Solutions at PwC where she provided clients with financial statement audit services, made recommendations to improve their business operations, control environment and financial reporting processes and provided guidance in the latest professional standards and regulatory requirements. During her time with PwC, she spent 3 years in the Sydney, Australia office where she was also responsible for overseeing business development initiatives and operational management.
Education and Affiliations
Katie holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Boston College Carroll School of Management. She also spent a semester studying at John Carroll University in Rome. Katie is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in Massachusetts.
Outside the Office
Outside of work, Katie can often be found at the park chasing after her two young boys or cooking at home with the assistance of her 3 year old sous chef. Katie enjoys traveling and discovering local spots off the beaten path. Katie resides in East Boston with her husband and two sons.
