Lauren Maughan Denklau
Partner & Chief Administration Officer (CAO)
Lauren is a Partner and the Chief Administration Officer (CAO) of Proficio Capital Partners. In her role, Lauren leads all relationship management efforts and communications with existing and future Proficio families across non-investment functions as the Head of Client Service. She works directly with families to articulate, refine and implement their objectives alongside their trusted estate, insurance and tax subject matter experts to deliver bespoke and holistic family office solutions. Lauren also serves as a resource and mentor to the wider team.
History
Prior to joining Proficio in 2016, Lauren was a Director in Global Corporate Development at Willis Towers Watson, where she worked with the firm’s CEO and Operating Committee to shape the combined business portfolio and with senior executives to generate strategy and guide implementation across all divisions and geographies. Lauren previously spent more than eight years on Wall Street, working for Lehman Brothers and Credit Suisse in various sales, client strategy, and senior management advisory roles across Fixed Income and Equities. In her last position at Credit Suisse, Lauren worked directly for the CEO of the Investment Bank to set the strategic direction of the organization and implement the goals of the underlying divisions. Lauren has extensive experience in both client-focused sales management and internally-focused business development.
Education and Affiliations
Lauren holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and Bachelor of Accountancy from Villanova University (Magna Cum Laude). She is also a member of the Boston Estate Planning Council, a diverse community of estate and wealth planning professionals in the greater Boston area that connect through educational programs and networking events to build and strengthen relations, exchange ideas, and gain insights in our fields.
Outside the Office
Originally raised in the NY Tri-State area, Lauren swam competitively for 15 years and moved to Boston in 2016. Lauren enjoys staying active whether it be Peloton or bootcamp classes, traveling extensively, golfing, hiking, and enjoying her family’s home on Lake Winnipesaukee. Lauren serves on the Villanova University Alumni Committee in various capacities and is an active volunteer for the Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD) Foundation where she previously spearheaded the PKD NYC Walk Committee.
